By providing your expected number of shipments (forecast), you help us optimize our transport planning. This ensures you receive the best service and prevents us from arriving at your location unnecessarily.
Why is my forecast important?
Trunkrs calculates an expected number of shipments based on your historical data. However, major deviations (for example, due to a marketing campaign or temporary closure) are difficult for us to predict.
- Your input is better: If you do not provide a forecast, we will use our own calculation, which may be less accurate.
- Webshop closed? Enter '0' on the days you are not shipping. This prevents us from scheduling an unnecessary pick-up.
Rules & Deadlines
- Deadlines: Ensure you submit your forecasts at least seven days in advance.
- Last-minute changes: Major deviations on the day itself? Please contact your Customer Success Manager or our planning department directly via collectie@trunkrs.nl.
- Check: Forecasts submitted in the final week before the delivery date are always reviewed by our planning department. They will contact you if necessary.
How do I submit my forecast in the Shipping Portal?
Log in to the Trunkrs Shipping Portal and click on Forecast in the top menu. You can submit your forecast by downloading, filling out, and uploading a template.
Step 1: Uploading your forecast
- Click the green Upload shipments data button in the top left corner.
- Download Template: Click on Download template. You will now download an Excel file specifically prepared for you. Then click Next.
-
Fill in the file: Open the Excel file on your computer. Enter the expected number of Shipments, Pallets, and/or Roll containers for the respective dates. Save the file.
💡 Tip: You only need to fill in the days for which you actually want to submit a forecast. For example, if you only have 2 collection moments per week, just fill in those specific days. You can leave the rest empty or set them to 0. -
Upload File: Drag and drop the saved Excel file into the upload box (or click to select it from your computer). You will now see a preview of your data. Click Next.
- Map Columns: The system will check if the columns are correct. Do you see green checkmarks everywhere? Then click Next.
- Review & Import: You will see a final summary of the data you are about to import. Is everything correct? Click the green Import button in the bottom right corner.
- You will receive a notification that the import was successful. Click Close.
Step 2: Making manual adjustments (Optional)
Did you successfully upload the forecast, but want to make a change for a specific week later on? You can easily adjust this manually in the overview.
- In the Forecast overview, find the week you want to adjust.
-
Click the pencil icon (Edit) to the right of the respective week.
- Adjust the numbers (Shipments, Pallets, Roll containers) directly on the screen.
- Click the green Save button in the top right corner.
Help: Saving or uploading failed
Are you getting an error message? Check for these common mistakes:
- Incorrect proportions: If you enter a number for pallets or roll containers, the number of shipments must always be greater than 0. After all, you cannot send empty containers.
- Incorrect date: You can only adjust or upload data for dates that are at least two days in the future. The system does not accept changes for the past or the short term.
