With Leave Behind, your customer can give our driver permission to leave the package in a safe spot around the house when no one is home. Examples include the garden, under a carport, or by the front door.
How can the customer set this?
Customers can easily set this preference themselves via the Track & Trace page before the delivery takes place.
Important: risk and responsibility
When a customer gives Leave Behind permission, they accept that responsibility for the package transfers once our driver has left it at the specified location.
Any risks, such as theft, loss, or weather damage, are fully the responsibility of the recipient from that moment.
Can I disable this as a webshop?
Yes, this is possible. Some webshops choose to disable it for high-value or theft-prone items.
- You can disable Leave Behind for your entire account in the Trunkrs Portal.
- Go to Settings → Feature Management and turn off the “Leave Behind permissions” option.
Exceptions
One-Time PIN (OTP): When a shipment is protected by a one-time PIN, Leave Behind is not available. The recipient must be present in person to confirm the PIN.
